Sunset House by Winifred, Lady Fortescue was a serendipitous discovery for the 1937 Club. It only arrived on my TBR last year because I took pity on it and another book by the same author at the annual Dutch BookCrossing meeting last year as it was left at the end. Both might have languished unread for many years or been jettisoned unread in a Little Free Library (or the Dutch equivalent, a minibieb). After all, there are plenty of Dutch folk who travel to France every year and would like to take a France-themed book to the campsite book swap shelf. As it was published in 1937, Sunset House had a happier fate; I read it and it was a delight.
